Experiential Learning at the Movies: A Fun Day for DIPSIANS.

At De Indian Public School, we believe in providing our students with a well-rounded education that extends beyond the classroom. That's why we organized a movie day for our students, complete with online ticket booking, frisking, and a delicious meal to enjoy during the film. The students booked their tickets online a day prior to the event. This not only ensured that they secured their seats, but also taught them the importance of planning ahead and being responsible for their own arrangements. On the day of the event, the students arrived at the theatre with a happy entrance. They were frisked by the teachers before getting their seats, which taught them about security measures and the importance of following rules and regulations. Before the movie began, the students stood up for the national anthem as a tribute to our country. This instilled a sense of patriotism and respect for our nation and its values. As the movie started, we reminded our students of theatre etiquettes, such as turning off their phones, avoiding talking during the film, and refraining from throwing garbage. These etiquette rules not only ensured a pleasant experience for all, but also taught our students about respect for others and the importance of following social norms. The students thoroughly enjoyed the movie, laughing and cheering along with their friends. They also had the option of selecting combo packs for their meals, which taught them about budgeting and making smart choices. After the movie, the students had a fun time with their friends, sharing their thoughts about the film and discussing their favourite scenes. The event provided an opportunity for our students to bond with their peers and learn about the importance of socializing and building relationships.

Overall, the movie day was a great example of experiential learning. It provided our students with an opportunity to learn outside the classroom and gain practical skills that they can apply in their daily lives.
